Spilt Milk - Drama Feature
Over the summer of 2024 I had the privilege of scoring Brian Durnin’s debut feature Spilt Milk. The film set in 1984 Dublin follows eleven-year-old Bobby O’Brien, who dreams of becoming a great detective like his TV hero Kojak. Bobby sets up a private investigation enterprise with his best friend Nell, but the disappearance of his older brother sets them off on a quest to find him.
The score is an interesting mix of electro, post-punk and classical and features the brilliant musicians Jamie McGrory on Drums, Ross Hamilton on Bass, Feargus Heatherington on violin and Alice Allen on Cello.
The film received it’s World Premiere at the renound Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival .
The film will receive its UK Premiere at Glasgow Film Festival in February 2025.
