Piano Lumineuse - SINGLE

I am delighted to share my first release on Blurred Recordings. I signed with Blurred in April this year and Piano Lumineuse marks the first of three singles over the summer months. The album Tekstura will will follow in the autumn. I hope you enjoy listening!

This track, named after the Lumière brothers best known for their Cinématographe motion picture system plays with ideas of zeotrope and early cinema. The piano, a solo voice, is eventually swamped by the building elemental musical textures. Inspired by early experimental films of the 40s it’s about looking for the place you are meant to be and about finding some kind of contentment in giving in to these external forces.

Following on from my textural experiments last year this track features the beautiful cello and violin of Alice Allen and Fiona Brice respectively.
