GETTING CLOSE

BBC and NTS Scenes for Survival Series

During lockdown I wrote the soundtrack to Kathy McKean's beautiful short film Getting Close as part of Scenes for Survival, a National Theatre of Scotland project in association with BBC Scotland, Hopscotch Films, Screen Scotland and BBC Arts.

Directed by Nick Bone the piece looks at the importance of touch and human contact through the memory of a former relationship during lockdown. Delivered wonderfully by Nicole Cooper it was a joy being part of a remote creative team and I also enjoyed the feeling of being closer to the theatrical world at a time when the venues are dark.
