Love Struck

It’s been a crazy six months. The Alasdair Gray, A Life In Progress was released and picked up good reviews and radio play on BBC6music and BBC radio3. To support it I put together a band and played a one off show of the music under the magnificent mural in Òran Mór before a screening of the film. Meanwhile Marty Goes To Hollywood picked up a best documentary BAFTA. A Love Divided, the SolarBear drama short, was nominated too.

In February I composed the score for Sam Rowe’s beautifully understated play Denton and Me and all other free time was spent between the Mitchell Library and my home studio writing my first Ballet for BalletLORENT, Love Struck, a half hour dance piece commissioned by Stockton International Riverside Festival.

The piece will premier next week as the centre piece of the Stockton International Festival.
